Frank’s Truck Center and Frank’s GMC is an award-winning dealership serving GMC, Freightliner, Isuzu and Hino clients with high quality customer service. We're looking for energetic, experienced professionals to add to the growing team in our world-class Service Department. Winner of GMC's 2022 GMC Dealer of the Year, Frank’s Truck Center and Frank's GMC offers quality sales, service and parts and has been family owned and operated for over 90 years. Positions are available in all technician areas including our Light Duty, Medium Duty, Heavy Duty Truck and Diesel Truck Shops. 2-3 positions are available for EXPIERIENCED TECHS!!! WE'RE SEEKING THOSE WHO ARE MOTIVATED AND DEPENDABLE, ENERGETIC AND WORK WELL IN A FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT. Strong service technician background we are willing to train those who are dedicated to the craft!! The day-to-day duties include diagnosing and preparing vehicles for repairs, performing repair work with the utmost of skill and accuracy and completing all duties in a timely manner. Some Job Responsibilities are:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed.
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Opportunities for advancement with factory paid training!

Qualifications needed are:

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical Training a PLUS
• ASE Certification a PLUS
• B level qualifications a PLUS, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. or more with or without assistance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to work in a shop environment that is effected by frequently changing temperatures.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
