Your Role on the Team Position Summary: The incumbent acts as both a functional and technical leader in the development, upgrade, enhancement, and support of Business Information systems in EPIC. Independently maintains and manages large modules of an enterprise clinical information system in relation to Hospital Billing modules. Facilitates decisions and work efforts around billing system applications, upgrades as needed and/or requested by all applicable users and patient care practices. Participates in the analysis and design of data communication links between systems.

Required Qualifications: - Working knowledge of inpatient and/or ambulatory clinic workflows
- Understanding of Work Flow Engine Rule and Order Transmittal
- Understanding of Epic User Security
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must have working knowledge of client/server systems, relational database structures and reporting tools
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Must be willing to participate in 24 hour on-call rotations as a system duty officer
- Experienced in building Revenue Guardian
- Experience working with Epic EMR and its various modules
- Experience using/implementing/supporting an EMR in a hospital and/or ambulatory setting
- Experience using / implementing / supporting the Epic EMR system CORE financial applications (Hospital Billing, Charge Router, Claims and Data Courier)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Current certification in Epic Hospital Billing
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
- Ability to self initiate and effectively problem solve issues
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to function as a project leader and project member
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- Ability to apply logical troubleshooting and analysis techniques for the purpose of problem resolution
- 2-4 years Epic build experience in Hospital Billing
Preferred Qualifications: - Project Coordination / management experience
- Must possess a working knowledge of HL7 and other interface/integration strategies
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
- Experience with Epic Clarity and Caboodle data models
- Epic Certification in Charge Router
