Responsibilities
- This position will require you to be responsible for safety on one data center project by ensuring the behavior of the crew is in accordance with company safety culture.
- Be responsible for identifying job site/area specific safety requirements, safety equipment, safety material procurement, training requirements and tracking of training.
- Assist in the identification of safety training requirements and investigate training course availability for the job site/area.
- Job start-up safety evaluation, ongoing safety compliance management (including pre-task plan audits/site walk- downs), and job safety close out activities.
- Develop/author/conduct/attend safety toolbox meetings at the job sites.
- Toolbox meetings include: Discussion of safety-related topics, addressing job site/area specific needs and sharing of information captured on safety observation cards, relaying lessons learned from incidents and near misses, and passing along communications from our customers
- Records of the safety meeting topics are to be recorded and logged.
- Conduct job site hazards analysis and document in the form of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) in preparation for the performance of work performed and/or managed by company personnel.
- It may be required to provide documentation to the site owner/customer or the construction management personnel for their review and approval prior to work being performed on the site.
- The Site Safety Manager is responsible for attending all safety-related meetings and serves as the contact for customers, employees, and subcontractor safety issues and concerns.
- Manage site accident/incident/near miss reporting including corrective and preventive action, as required.
- Lead the incident investigation and conduct a root cause analysis with the involvement of the Safety Director and VP of Human Resources
- Support the Safety Director in providing necessary information to occupational medical professionals for worksite injuries.
- Responsible for the completion of Job Site Safety Survey (JSSS) including the entering of the collected data in to the trending process
- Responsible for the review of safety data sheet (SDS) information including methods of collection and maintenance of the SDS binders and station at the job site/area office.
- Maintain a job site/area chemical inventory list based on submitted SDS for work in progress.
Job description
Goel Services a demolition contractor and mechanical insulation contractor for over 23 years is seeking a Site Safety Manager to inspect and monitor various construction sites in the DMV region. This position will require the selected individual to be present on one site at a time but it may change during the course of employment. The Safety Professional is responsible for the implementation and administration of the corporate safety program at the job-site/area.

Pay is $70k per year + vehicle allowance
