Position description : The Food Service Assistant will play an integral role in providing excellence in hospitality at Christ Community Chapel (CCC). Our food service team meets a number of church needs, from providing coffee and snacks to executing large-scale meals for several hundred people. This is a part-time, flexible position and reports to the Food Service Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Prepare, cook, and serve for various events at CCC facilities.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and assist in monitoring inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies.
• Provide friendly and attentive service to all church members and guests.
• Step in to lead volunteer teams for larger events as needed.
• Think on your feet and adapt to quick change.
• Participate fully as a staff member at CCC.

Qualifications:

• Be in a dynamic and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Prior food service and/or kitchen experience.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends along with flexibility for other shifts.
• Ability to collaborate and connect relationally with people.
• Committed to the mission and vision of Christ Community Chapel.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout church facilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
