Finance Manager

💰 $120,000 – $140,000 DOE

A respected Central Valley organization is seeking a strategic Finance Manager to lead and enhance its accounting and financial operations. This is a high-impact leadership role reporting directly to senior leadership, with oversight of a small but mighty finance team.

The ideal candidate is detail-driven, audit-savvy, and thrives in an environment that values integrity, structure, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations and supervise a team of 3 finance professionals
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, USDA, federal/state/local regulations, and internal policies
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Oversee annual budget development and monthly reporting across all departments
• Lead internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely coordination and compliance
• Manage accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Oversee grant management, including submissions, reimbursements, and compliance
• Monitor daily cash flow and manage banking and foreign exchange transactions
• Collaborate with investment partners to ensure liquidity and responsible investing
• Drive efficiency and accuracy by improving accounting systems, processes, and controls
• Support professional development of direct reports through mentorship and training

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (Master’s a plus)
• 10+ years of accounting experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with NetSuite ERP strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, audits, compliance, and internal controls
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and project management skills
