Job Description

Our client is a great community bank that's looking for a Head Teller. Responsibilities will involve managing the daily operations of a bank's teller line, including supervising other tellers, handling complex transactions, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations. They also provide leadership, guidance, and support to the teller staff.

Key Responsibilities of a Head Teller:

• Supervision and Management: Overseeing the work of other tellers, assigning tasks, and ensuring they are adhering to policies and procedures.
• Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service, resolving complex customer issues, and handling escalated problems.
• Transaction Processing: Handling deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and other financial transactions, while also promoting new products and services including opening new accounts.
• Compliance: Ensuring compliance with banking regulations, including security protocols, and internal controls.
• Training and Development: Providing training and guidance to teller staff, including onboarding, performance evaluations, and professional development.
• Operational Duties: Managing cash flow, balancing drawers, and maintaining the vault.
• Problem Solving: Resolving complex customer issues, handling errors, and assisting with difficult situations.
• Vault Management: Managing vault operations, including ordering and shipping cash.
• ATM Operations: Overseeing ATM operations, balancing, and ordering ATM cash.
• Compliance and Security: Ensuring compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulations, including security protocols, and fraud prevention.
