Job Description

HVAC/Plumbing Engineer

Responsibilities and activities include:

  • Provide Engineering and Design services for Occupied Buildings and Enclosed Process Areas requiring HVAC and/or Plumbing Systems.

  • Provide technical expertise and oversight of HVAC and Plumbing Engineering and Design by Project Teams.

  • Develop and maintain Global Specifications and Details.

  • Perform HVAC and Building Assessments.

  • Prepare conceptual and schematic designs for/construction documents of HVAC and Plumbing systems.

  • Assist in cost evaluations and comparative analyses of HVAC and Plumbing systems.

  • Provide technical support to Maintenance, Project and Site Teams with issues relating to this area of expertise.

Required experience and skills include:

  • Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people and cultures.

  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and Plumbing Systems for all types of industrial occupied and non-occupied building applications.

  • Ability to perform engineering, design, and management of multiple projects concurrently.

  • Ability to work within and adhere to defined budgets and schedules.

  • Proficiency in design software packages including AutoCAD, Revit and MicroStation.

  • Proficiency in business software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

  • Proficiency in typing.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

Minimum B.S. in Mechanical Engineering

Work History:

Minimum 10 years’ experience in HVAC Engineering and Design

Licensure:

Licensed Professional Engineer preferred.
