We’re looking for a compassionate and experienced hospital-based LMSW to support patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams in a dynamic acute care setting .

Position Overview:

• Role : Hospital Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
• Location : New York, NY
• Schedule : Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Type : Ongoing Contract Assignment
• Compensation : $60–$65/hour (W2)

Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Key Functions:

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate patients’ emotional, mental, and social needs as part of the overall care plan.
• Coordinate discharge planning by collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team and connecting patients with appropriate post-hospital resources and services.
• Provide crisis intervention and short-term counseling to patients and families coping with illness, trauma, loss, or other life-altering events.
• Advocate for patients and families , ensuring their needs, rights, and preferences are represented and addressed within the healthcare system.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and care plans in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA).

Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Key Qualifications:

• LMSW license – active and in good standing (REQUIRED)
• At least 1 year of hospital social work experience (REQUIRED)
