Computronix is currently seeking an experienced, professional  Level 3 Senior Technician to join our expanding organization and further our growth plans. In this position, you will be responsible for designing technology solutions/client presentations & negotiations, as well as managing and maintaining networks, servers, workstations, hardware/software components and security – ensuring the smooth running of clients’ business computer systems.

You will be expected to have a thorough knowledge of business computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks, operating systems, networking and cyber security. The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail. Technicians are expected to display good interpersonal skills as they will interact with clients and colleagues from various departments and executive levels. The Technician is required to listen to clients’ technical needs, understand their problems, and implement solutions for them.

Ultimately, the goal is to build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks with security measures to optimize the role of technology for our clients’ business sustainability.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and present small/medium business network/security solutions.
  • Work with implementation team to install/configure accepted solutions.
  • Provide technical support to client users, being the primary point of contact for the client.
  • Assist in install and configure appropriate hardware and software components according to specifications of projects.
  • Design, Develop, implement local networks (Windows server-based, peer to peer and cloud (Azure & AWS) in ways that optimize functionality and performance.
  • Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
  • Perform tests and evaluations of new software and hardware.
  • Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
  • Ensure electrical safety standards are met.
  • Establish good relationships with all clients, departments and colleagues.
  • Install, configure and conduct daily client backup operations.
  • Manage project documentation.
  • Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.
  • Maintain records/logs of projects and customer interaction.

Skills:

  • Proven experience as an IT Technician or relevant position (5+ years).
  • In depth understanding of diverse Windows computer systems, Windows Servers, Active Directory, Windows networks, HyperV, VMs and Cloud Daas, VDI and Azure solutions.
  • Excellent knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles, including 2FA, Pen testing, password management, Cisco, Sonicwall, etc.
  • Familiar with a wide range of software and hardware systems.
  • Proficient in hardware/software installation and configuration.
  • Proficient in designing networks to include, but not limited to Cisco firewalls, Ruckus/Engenius WiFi systems, VPN, Office265, Datto backup/DR, ProofPoint (spam filtering), Avinan, Rapid Fire Tools, Splashtop and other MSP tools.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
  • Must travel to local client sites as needed.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or relevant field is a plus.
  • Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, Cisco certifications).
  • Managed IT Services Customer Relations Management CRM and/or Remote Monitoring and Management(RMM) systems experience.
  • Kaseya products and services, including AutoTask, VSA, RocketCyber SOC, Kaseya NOC, etc.

Position requires full-time work with daily attendance on-site at our Stamford office. As we are not a retail store, and our services are performed by our technicians either remotely or at client sites, we do not have heavy traffic in our offices. All employees and outside visitors are required to follow safety protocols.

Compensation package includes base salary, bonus potential, health plan with company contribution and paid time off. Company provided laptop, cellular phone and other tools as needed. Reimbursed work related mileage and approved expenses.
