Position Summary:  

The Master Plumber plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality installations by handling all plumbing aspects related to bath and shower remodels. This includes setting drains, installing valves, and collaborating closely with our installation team to ensure all plumbing work meets code requirements and project timelines. The Master Plumber will also provide technical support to installers as needed to ensure smooth and efficient project completion. 

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Set and secure drains for new bath and shower installations according to specifications and building codes. 
  • Install or modify shower valves and related plumbing components. 
  • Perform plumbing rough-ins and final connections as needed for bathroom remodel projects. 
  • Assist installers with demolition, framing, or other tasks requiring plumbing-related knowledge. 
  • Inspect completed plumbing work to ensure compliance with local codes and company standards. 
  • Identify and resolve plumbing issues or project obstacles proactively, which includes assisting sales team during bidding process. 
  • Communicate effectively with installers, General Manager, and customers when necessary. 
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used and report project status to management. 
  • Follow safety protocols and company guidelines at all times. 
  • Participate in the process of pulling permits when needed. 

Work Hours Benefits:  

The working hours for the Plumber are standard with some variability. Typically, standard business hours will include 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday. During peak seasons or major projects, internal or external, longer hours may be necessary, including evenings and weekends.

Desired Experience:  

  • Experience installing shower valves, drains, and supply lines in residential remodels. 
  • Familiarity with local plumbing codes and the permitting process in Minnesota and North Dakota. 
  • Previous work in bath or shower replacement projects, preferably in occupied homes. 
  • Comfortable coordinating with installers and management and adapting to real-time jobsite needs. 
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve plumbing issues efficiently and professionally. 

Qualifications and Requirements:  

  • Valid Master Plumber License in the state of Minnesota (or ability to obtain). 
  • 5+ years of plumbing experience, preferably in residential remodels or bath installations. 
  • Strong knowledge of current plumbing codes and best practices. 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project scopes. 
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. 
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities. 
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical labor as needed. 
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
