mmWave Packaging Engineer

Job Description & Skill Requirement

1. Our wireless team is seeking an RF packaging engineer to create our next generation products. In this role, you will be part of the wireless team to develop state-of-the-art wireless solutions. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
2. Design, simulate and validate RF/mmWave package/IPD solutions from prototype to mass production.
3. Partner with 3rd party vendors to manufacture and qualify the RF/mmWaveF package with high yield.
4. Ensure seamless integration of the RF packages into our system, including reliability and manufacturability.
5. RF lab debug, tuning and characterization of RF/mmWave packages.
6. Understand vendor's technology/capabilities and down-select suitable vendors for implementation.

Requirements:

1. BSEE or MSEE in Electrical/Electronic engineering with at least 5 years of RF/mmWave packaging experience.
2. Excellent knowledge/experience in the following area
3. Wafer-level packaging, including RDL design.
4. Silicon/LTCC/TFS passives design, including IPDs.
5. FEM package design.
6. SAW/BAW filters package design.
7. mmWave package design, including design of mmWave components on substrate.
8. Excellent knowledge/experience of RF/mmWave measurement techniques and lab equipment, including load pull techniques and RF/mmWave probe station.
9. Good understanding of wireless standards and compliance requirements (e.g. FCC)
10. Excellent understanding of RF concepts such as power and noise matching, Smith charts, coupling, supply isolation, radar, de-sense, power supply rejection, transmission lines and mmWave components (e.g. coupler, filters, etc)
11. Experienced in developing test plans, test procedures and compliance matrices.
12. Familiar with circuit simulation tools (e.g. ADS), EM tools (e.g. HFSS), PCB design and layout tools (e.g. Allegro) and scripting languages (e.g. Python).
13. Knowledge of wireless standards and wireless systems (e.g. WiFi/BT, Radar, Cellular, GNSS, UWB).
14. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and great team player.

Qualification:

BSEE or related engineering discipline.
