Payroll & Accounting Specialist

Our client, a well-established non-profit organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Accounting Specialist to manage payroll operations using Paycom and support general accounting tasks. Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Administration:

• 
  Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll using Paycom , ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• 
  Maintain employee records related to compensation, deductions, and benefits.
• 
  Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• 
  Prepare and submit payroll-related filings including W-2s, 941s, and related tax documents.
• 
  Serve as the primary point of contact for Paycom system issues, updates, and process improvements.

Accounting Support:

• 
  Assist with accounts payable and receivable , including vendor invoice processing and customer billing.
• 
  Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in general ledger transactions.
• 
  Prepare and post journal entries and support month-end and year-end close processes.
• 
  Assist with the preparation of budgets, internal financial reports , and supporting documentation for external audits.
• 
  Process employee reimbursements and corporate credit card reconciliations.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

• 
  Coordinate with HR for payroll and benefits alignment.
• 
  Support program and grant teams with budget tracking and reporting.
• 
  Respond to internal payroll and finance inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
