Job Description

Cache Valley Electric Co. (CVE), a premier national specialty contractor, is seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Clerk to join our dynamic team at our Logan, UT headquarters. This full-time role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our workforce of over 3,000 employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll, including benefits and deductions, with precision and efficiency
• Ensure compliance with employment eligibility requirements (E-Verify, I-9 documentation)
• Maintain and update employee payroll records (e.g., address/phone changes, W-4 updates, timecard reviews)
• Stay current on federal and state wage and hour regulations
• Utilize Viewpoint software and apply knowledge of collective bargaining agreements (preferred)

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of payroll experience required
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll software systems
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Collaborative team player with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
