POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide support to the Commercial Lending team by managing various functions as they pertain to the ongoing monitoring of the portfolio. Daily duties include managing various reports and collaborate with other departments including commercial lending, loan servicing, loan administration and portfolio management. Responsible for the accurate tracking of all financial reporting requirements, loan covenants, borrowing base certificates, loan coding and key review dates for loan portfolio. Tasked with reducing risk to the Bank by minimizing document exceptions, insurance expirations and managing ticklers to track keys dates for compliance events within the commercial loan portfolio. Perform special projects as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Sends series of letter or email requests to customers to obtain financials or documentation required per the loan documents and approval requirements. Coordinates with Portfolio Manager or Credit Analyst to perform any necessary covenant compliance testing. Follows through to obtain approvals for any failures, along with documentation of Bank action determined. Updates loan files and tracking systems accordingly.
• Coordinates with Lender/Portfolio Manager to notify customers of upcoming maturity dates or construction conversion dates and requirements to execute.
• Records cannabis related compliance document due dates in the tickler system, coordinates with Borrower for timely submission, saves received documentation on imaging system and updates tickler system.
• Works with Portfolio Manager and/or Credit Analyst to ensure annual reviews are completed in accordance with loan policy and due dates updated appropriately. Updates tracking system as the reviews are completed and removes once paid off or no longer meets the annual review requirements.
• Requests and reviews monthly borrowing base certificates as they relate to Line of Credit availability. Calculates advance rate and updates availability in loan core system. Makes request to Borrower for any required curtailments as needed.
• Reviews New Loan Report on a weekly basis to identify any new loans that have been booked for the Commercial lending team. Reviews approvals for new loans to identify items for ongoing monitoring and sets ticklers to track items appropriately.
• Works with Post Closing Specialist and Loan Operations Specialists to ensure accuracy of loan and credit files to include loan coding and imaging.
• Reviews monthly document exception report and works with Lender, Loan Administrator, Documentation Specialist and any 3rd parties involved to obtain all necessary items to clear the exceptions.
• Assists Insurance Specialist in obtaining updates to expired insurance policies to ensure collateral is not in jeopardy.
• Communicates with customers as needed to obtain any required documentation to keep loan files up to date.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• 3-5 years banking experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Basic Knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
• Knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and ability to master several internal programs.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills sufficient to interact with internal and external customers
• Ability to think proactively, multi- task and work independent of supervision.
• Strong organizational skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
We offer a hybrid schedule, with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote after the initial 90-day period.
