HVAC Project Manager

Our client has over 50 years of experience as the leading commercial and industrial HVAC project and service provider in the New Jersey and New York markets. We provide our clients with the heating, air conditioning and ventilation solutions to meet the needs of their facility and their people. We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized HVAC construction project manager to join our growing team. Some responsibilities are to oversee financial budgets, coordinate contractors, and manage the construction process.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, plan, and manage schedules for contractors and subcontractors

• Order and manage materials and equipment

• Manage submittals, RFIs, change order and job schedules

• Oversee and supervise construction project progress and provide reports on timeline, progress, and adjustments via the WIP Process

• Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met

• Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget

• Compile and plan budgets, cost estimates, and other financial estimates with the assistance of the Estimating Department

• Knowledge in DDC Building Management Systems a plus, but not required

Qualifications:

• At least three years of experience in HVAC project management

• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

• Able to manage a team of employees and multiple projects

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions

• In-depth understanding of the construction industry

• Organized and able to create multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations

• Able to build solid relationships with team members, vendors, and customers

• Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project and experience with Project Management software preferred, i.e. Procore, FieldWire
