Job Description

**MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Senior Accountant** to join our team in Herndon, VA. **This is a hybrid position (Thursdays on site).** The ideal candidate will be a technical accountant with an understanding of ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers and/or ASC 842 Leases, as well as a background in financial reporting and analysis. **Responsibilities to include but not limited to:** + Monitor large volumes of data and ensure data is accurately organized and up to date, maintaining a clear overview of the status. + Collaborate with project teams to assess the revenue recognition method under ASC 606, then document the analysis and conclusions clearly and comprehensively + Prepare and review lease-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and disclosures in accordance with ASC 842 + Create and maintain lease accounting schedules and reports. + Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines. + Provide support for ad hoc projects and additional analyses as needed. + Ensure compliance with internal control requirements. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in accounting + CPA certification + Minimum of 3 years of prior public accounting experience (Big4 preferred) + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel + Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines **Preferred Qualifications** + Knowledge of ASC 606 and/or ASC 842 standards + Experience in the Government Contracting industry + Familiarity with the following software: LeaseQuery, SalesForce, Google Suite, ShareWorks **Security Clearance Requirement:** + US Citizenship **Physical Requirements:** + Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% + Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations + Must be able to provide accurate information in these situations MANTECH International Corporation considers all qualified applicants for employment without regard to disability or veteran status or any other status protected under any federal, state, or local law or regulation.
