Position Summary:

This role reports to the Director of Brand Marketing and serves as the voice of the brand in the social space, creating innovative brand messaging and content that engages consumers + influencers across multiple social media platforms. This person serves as the team organic social media strategist, content generator and channel expert whose ultimate goal is to communicate our brand positioning, boost engagement and increase followers. This person has a proven track record of demonstrating exceptional knowledge and understanding of the Social Media landscape – including content ideation & creation, optimization based on platform, engaging communities, social listening & reporting, planning & execution of socially-led campaigns, and a strong understanding of the latest trends.

Direct Responsibilities

Organic Channel Ownership

  • Create impactful social activity on owned channels and across social platforms that lead to an improvement in brand awareness, favorability and trust for REBEL
  • Develop monthly, quarterly and yearly social media strategy for the brand
  • Ensure strategies are on-brand and innovative
  • Ensure differentiated strategies based on platform (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Pinterest)
  • Develop strategies that drive follower growth and engagement
  • Create and manage the social media calendar based on the company’s product marketing priorities and inventory position
  • Plan and execute all social media content on all active channels. This includes filming and editing short-form video content, behind the camera and in front of it.
  • Identify viral trends fast and execute content for REBEL
  • Manage all scheduling for social marketing programs by utilizing integrated day-to-day activity plans
  • Execute 2 social partnerships with like-minded brands a quarter to tap into shared audience & increase organic growth.
  • Design and execute social media reporting on key metrics, such as engagement, traffic, new customers, and revenue; share weekly performance reporting with key stakeholders
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure continuity in messaging, brand imagery and impact. This includes copy, imagery, graphics and video
  • Conduct seasonal social SWOT & provide insights on competitors & other brands winning in their market

Community Engagement

  • Monitor and respond to all brand conversations on owned content and ads. Utilize feedback to influence future campaigns and share relevant feedback cross-functionally.
  • Daily communication and engagement on other brands and relevant individuals post and pages
  • When approached, strategically offer interested influencers/community members incentive to post & talk about us.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in managing social media in an agency or client side - preferably within consumer products.
  • Strong ability to work across social platforms (IG, TikTok, FB etc.)
  • Strong ability to create and edit content, including producing, filming and editing video content
  • Comfortable being in content and representing REBEL publicly
  • Strong copywriting and visual skills
  • Strong experience with social editing and scheduling tools like TikTok and Instagram in app editors, Iconosquare, Later, and Canva
  • Deep understanding of how brands should use social to show up authentically and expert in developing social marketing strategies that are native to each channel and that can deliver tangible results
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and use social data to inform decision making.
  • At the cutting edge of social trends and culture, knowing how to credibly and sensitively harness them while maintaining brand safety and values.
  • Flexible, with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities
