The Out-of-Door Academy seeks a Part-Time Strength & Conditioning Coach on the Uihlein (Lakewood Ranch) Campus to join our dedicated Athletic department in their commitment to seeing student-athletes succeed in all of their endeavors.

Responsibilities - Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Part-Time Strength & Conditioning Coach will be responsible for the following:

• Possess an understanding of the physiological spectrum of high school student-athlete development through adolescence.
• Design dynamic programs to meet team and individual needs.
• Design, implement, and supervise sport specific training programs for all boys’ and girls’ athletic teams.
• Oversee a year-round program that allows student athletes to move seamlessly from sport to sport.
• Establish and participate in a summer program experience for student athletes.
• Establish a schedule and customized program for each team’s pre-season, in-season, post-season, and off-season training.
• Provide close supervision of all student-athletes during before and/or after school fitness center/weight room sessions.
• Work in collaboration with the Athletic Trainer in the rehabilitation and strengthening of student-athletes recovering from injuries.
• CSC or NSCA certification required. Documentation of certification process underway would be acceptable.
• Abide by all FHSAA rules.

Qualifications - The following experience, skills & knowledge are required and/or preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• 2+ years’ experience in strength & conditioning, ideally in an independent school, college, or university setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills; self-directed individual who is solution oriented, flexible and works well with teams and individuals while possessing a positive attitude.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification is required.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a part-time non-exempt position available immediately. Compensation is highly competitive and commensurate with experience.
