We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Transcript Editor / Proofreader to enhance the quality of our session transcripts, maintaining clarity, accuracy, and strict confidentiality.
The Transcript Editor / Proofreader is responsible for reviewing and refining transcripts generated from client sessions. This role ensures all documents are grammatically correct, professionally formatted, and accurately reflect the content of the recordings. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, strong language skills, and a commitment to maintaining HIPAA-compliant confidentiality . This is a fully remote role with flexible scheduling.
Proven experience in editing, proofreading, or transcription , preferably in healthcare, counselling, or mental health settings.
Exceptional command of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling .
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Familiarity with transcription formatting standards and professional style guides.
Proficiency with word processing software and transcription review tools.
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines consistently.
Excellent communication skills for clarifying ambiguous sections with team members when needed.
